Questions of The Great Gatsby

1) What made the women think that Gatsby's background is of something dark or evil?
2) Why did Nick write down all the names of the people that came to Gatsby's house during the parties?
3)Why didn't Nick talk to Tom about his mistress, even though Tom has Daisy?

  3. 1. Women thought of Gatsby with a dark background since he replaced Lucille's torn gown, with an extremelly more expensive gown. Thus people believe he doesn't want any problems because he has a shadowy, dark past and doesn't want anyone snooping around.
