The Search For Zora Neal Hurston

Walker was able to use the settings and descriptions Hurston uses in her stories to help find Hurston's grave marker. One of the settings she used was the description of the five lakes that surround the town of Eatonville. It shows her the life of Hurston by seeing how and where she lived.

The Sadness of Janie

Janie feels blue because the idea of love she had was shattered. She believed love was brought to a person by marriage. Logan Killicks proved  her dreams wrong by her not loving him even though they were married for an extened period of time. Even now Janie is not completely happy with the marriage she is in with Joe Starks. She doesn't get her say in things no matter hyow hard she tries. She feels like she has failed her Nanny because she left her first husband, the one that was hand chosen for her.

Years of Questions and Answers

Janie will start to find new questions and answers of her life through-out the many years. Janie discovered she was brown when she thought she was white and the kids at the school made fun of her for being raised by the white family. The question still stands what will happen to her in the future? I think she will go through many more love interests before she can finally understand what love truly is. However, will she ever find the man to make her realize what love truly is

10. Most people have to live according to their own heart to be happy.

I agree with this because if you don't follow your heart, how can you truly be happy? I say this because, the heart holds your most near and dear dreams. Without what makes you happy in your heart, no one can really say they are truly happy. The happiness we hold, we metaphorically hold in our hearts, because whenever we feel an emotion, we feel it where our heart is at. People do not have to live by their heart to be happy, but to be in eternal happiness, the heart shall lead the way. My heart led me to the happiness i am in now.

Can you ever recover from a bad first impression?

Bad first impressions happen, but everyone can recover from them, it is just insanely hard. First impressions allow people to get an understanding of other people. With a bad impression, the person that is judging will think less of the person being judged. A way to change a bad first impression is to prove that person wrong of what they think of you by showing them who you are. Changing their view may be near impossible, but once you do, they will either like you for who you are, or hate you more for the kind of person you are.
Either way, it is all possible, it all just depends if you make it better or worse. Better, then thats a good thing, but worse, just stop trying now before we all end up dead.

It's on the Inside That Counts

Many people will never talk to another person only because of how they look. They either fear them or just not like that style. By a person looking a certain way, others will think this person is bad or this person person looks nice. In reality they could have opposite roles, the nice looking person will cause you to hate them in 5 seconds, while the bad looking person will be your best friend forever. Many things seem nice or bad at first, but until you get to know it yourself you shall never know the truth. I've met numerous amounts of people that i didn't want to talk to because of the way they looked. I eventually got to know some of them and now they are my friends, some i don't see anymore others i do. All in all its the same with animals. People don't like pit bulls because they see them as crazy psychotic dogs that kill everything. Thats the way they were raised. Penguin seem so cute and cuddly but they are one of history's most evil creatures. People judge by looks before personality, and its kinda hard not to but we all got to try are best. After all, its whats on the inside that counts.

Assimilation

    Assimilation is something we all do without realizing it, for example, one way is following fashion.  People want to be like other people assimilate into a new group. Assimilation is necessary to fit in; everyone has assimilated in one way or another.

                Assimilation is a good thing, without it people wouldn’t fit in with others and America wouldn’t be the same itself. We are all a combination of many different types of cultures and without assimilation; no one would ever be able to talk to anyone else. Many people enjoy assimilating into society; they fit in and sometimes are not even noticed.

                Beneatha tries to assimilate herself within her college classmates by trying out many things they enjoy. She straightens her hair and dresses similar to all the people at her school. Doing this doesn’t necessarily mean anything bad, she has just strayed a bit from her black heritage and culture.

              Assimilation is necessary for people to get ahead in life. In order to get certain places, you need to be life certain people. Some people don’t like it, others don’t mind it at all. People tend to get mixed up in the assimilation that they forget who they are. Others purposely forget to leave behind a life they wish never existed.

Me or Mi Familia, well i choose both. My family means a lot to me and i would do almost anything to see them all happy and smiling. There are times where they drive me crazy but all in all they make me happy. I wouldn't ask for it to be any other way. I say both though because I deserve some things too. Even if they are little things i might not always get them at that moment, but i eventually do. That's one of the reasons I love my family. I trust them and they trust me. I care for them more than i care for myself. If anyone messes with me its fine, but my family, they will regret it. My family, every single one, I love with all my heart.
Too my loving family, they mean the world to me, just as much as i mean the world to myself.

An American Dream, is the dream one has for themselves when living in America. Whether it is being rich or having a nice family. A person can achieve any of their dreams with hard-work  and determination. Some people come to America, either by legal or illegal means to have a better life. All these things contribute to ones dream. America has provided many their own American Dream, will the next person be you?
My American Dream is to have a loving family to call my own while having my dream job. My dream job is to be a video game programmer or an animator. My dream house would be a two story house with big enough land to have a front and backyard. This is my American Dream.

Why hello and welcome to my humble blog. My name is Ryan Hernandez-Rutten and we shall learn the person I am. To start off, i am 16 years old but sadly won't be 17 til the coming January. I am a very nice and generous person and is very easy to stay on my bad side. If you somehow manage to get onto my bad side however, I will say this, it is very hard to get out of it. I am a some what hard working student, I'll do what is needed but there are times where i just say screw it and give up. I am smart and can keep working under most conditions but somethings just seem to make me stop or I'm just feeling lazy. I can help with most subjects but not everyone knows everything.
